Sub: Revision in Guide Fee w.e.f. 1st October 2023 to 30th September 2025 and request to the members from TGFI

A circular was sent to the members on 14th July 2023, regarding revision in Guide Fee with effect from 1st October 2023 for a period of two years which is valid till 30th September 2025.  

We have received a request from Tourist Guides’ Federation of India expressing their concern and the problems guides are facing with regard to guide fee.

Members are requested to kindly note the following:-

1.    Kindly honour the guide fee which has been mutually agreed between IATO and TFGI and pay the guide fee accordingly.

2.    Members should clear outstanding bills of guides on monthly basis, which many of our members are not following.

3.    As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, Incredible India Tourist Facilitators (IITF) are not allowed to do guiding inside ASI and State Monuments and they can work as Escorts only.

4.     If any of IITF is caught inside the monument doing guiding, it will unnecessarily create a scene and tourists will feel embarrassed. Members are therefore requested that for guiding inside the monuments, they should take services of Govt. approved guides only,

For your ready reference an agreement on Revised Guide Fee valid for next two years i.e. from 1st October 2023 to 30th September 2025 is attached.
