Sub: 1st Global Tourism investors’ Summit (GTIS) on 17-19 May 2023, New Delhi.

As you may be aware, under the aegis of G20 Presidency, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is organising the 1st Global Tourism investors Summit (GTIS) on 17-19 May 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is the Industry Partner of the Summit and Invest India as Investment Promotion and facilitation agency.

The main objective of GTIS is to showcase Indian Tourism and Hospitality industry as a major ‘Investment Destination highlight State-specific tourism opportunities, offer discussions and partnerships opportunities for investments in the Indian tourism and serve as bouquet of tangible investment ready projects for investors.

The summit will witness participation from Central/State Government, Ambassadors/Diplomats; Industry players in Tourism & Hospitality including travel agents/tour operators, Cruise liners, MICE developers, ecommerce players etc, Multilateral organisations in the field of tourism & hospitality; investors form across the globe as well as Tourism Associations, educational institutions and other key stakeholders in the tourism sector.

The Summit has 3 main components- (i) Plenary Sessions; (ii) Exhibition by Indian States on tourism and (iii) B2B/B2G networking. The Plenary sessions will be on 4 broad themes- Sustainability Technology & Innovation, Insights and other thematic sessions covering specialised tourism services, along with dedicated State Sessions.

We have been in discussion with the CII and have committed to actively participate in the GTIS and extend our support towards participation in the plenary sessions, suggesting participants/investors for the programme as well as promoting the GTIS.

It is an excellent opportunity for each member to participate in this mega Summit and leverage the platform to find the potential investment opportunities. Given the scale and outreach of the programme, GTIS will also provide a great chance to engage, discuss and partner with the relevant stakeholders in the Tourism & Hospitality landscape, both domestic and international. It will further allow you to discover business opportunities in areas beyond your niche.
