1. Communication / Letters that addressed key issues
_Segment 1 update sequence by date:31, August. 2,4,5 September_
Monday, 31st August
* Use of IATO Film for overseas promotions through Indian Embassies/High Commissions and India tourism offices overseas
On date IATO requested Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, Director General (Tourism) on the subject conveying the message that India is waiting to welcome tourists and tour operators are also ready with the New Normal and hygienic preparedness once Visa/e-Visa and international flight operation is resumed.

Wednesday, 2nd September
* Inspection of Bed & Breakfast units on hold till 31st December, 2020.
On date IATO wrote to Mr. Narendra Kumar, Assistant Director, Department of Tourism, Government of NCT of Delhi on the above subject and informed that as most of the offices its member tour operator members are closed or partially opened for essential work with skeleton staff, considering member’s health first, IATO is forced to take such decisions and unable to help in the matter and IATO will not be able to depute its members for inspection of Bed & Breakfast units. The practice of Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India by giving provisional approval for the renewal cases of Bed & Breakfast units and new cases to be kept on hold till 31st December or till the time situation improves, may kindly be followed.
Copy of the letter was marked to Regional Director, India tourism North and Under Secretary (HRACC), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
Friday, 4th September
* Regarding hosting a virtual meeting/webinar with IATO members for those who wish to promote Namibia.
On date IATO wrote to Mr. Oscar Sikanda, Commercial Counsellor, High Commission of Namibia on the above subject.
Saturday, 5th September
* Issues and problems of Tourism Industry - Your show regarding -Recovery of Hospitality, Tourism Key to India’s Economic Revival News Unlocked on 4th September 2020
On date IATO wrote to Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor, India Today Group/Aaj Tak on the aforesaid subject and requested that the views of IATO, may be kindly be taken so that any such news on India Today/Aaj Tak, problems and issues of the entire tourism industry can be covered.

IATO Interactive member meeting was held on Monday, the 31st August 2020 at 4.30 pm on Zoom Video Conference Platform.
Members were informed on the 26th of August
Wednesday, 2nd September
* Dekho Apna Desh Webinar organised by India Tourism Bangalore on 2nd Sept 2020 at 11.30 hrs on subject "Lesser Known Destinations in Karnataka"
Members were informed on the 1st of September
Thursday, 3rd September
* IATO Maharashtra virtual Training Session was conducted by Indian Hotels Company Limited on Thursday, 3rd September at 11 am.
Members in Maharashtra were informed on the 1st of September.
* Schedule of Interactive Meeting with the members for next 4 months

Friday, 4th September
* Dekho Apna Desh webinar " Northeast India-A hotspot for Wildlife Tourism" was organized on 4th September 2020 at 04:00 PM.
