The tourist city of the Taj, Agra, hosted the eighth convention in 1991, where ‘The Role of Tour Operators’ in spreading Brand India was deliberated upon. The president was O P Ahuja, Holiday Makers Pvt Ltd.The convention highlighted the infrastructure and connectivity problems that Agra faced.
The convention also resolved that the entire city of Agra should be beautified and made more tourist friendly.The menace of touts and the law and order situation was to be given top priority by the Government.The Hall of Fame Award was presented to S K Misra, former principal secretary,Government of India.
