• The Chief Guest was the Prime Minister of India, P V Narsimha Rao who inaugurated the convention at Vigyan Bhawan.
• The Guest of Honour was Ghulam Nabi Azad, Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation and Sukhbans Kaur, Minister of State of Tourism.
• The keynote address was delivered by Abid Hussain, Chairman, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
