Dear IATO Members,

With regret I inform you that higher reaches of Uttarakhand is going through a rough monsoon with the roads being flooded and landslides rampant. We advise all IATO members to dissuade guests from visiting higher reaches and restrict themselves till the foot hills or lower.hill regions of Garhwal and Kumaon in Uttarakhand.

Government of Uttarakhand and state administration is taking quick steps to restore the roads temporarily so as to bring back tourists stranded due to land slides and floods. Restrictions on vehicles too have been put in place, not allowing tourists going to higher reaches and situation will be brought under control soon, yet we would advise tour operators to divert trips till monsoon subsides and rains slow down a bit.

With hope that the situation gets controlled as soon as possible and Uttarakhand can offer all its beauty to visiting tourists once again.

Yours In IATOism
Prateek Hira.
