  _Segment 1 update sequence by date:15,16,17,18 September_

Tuesday, 15th September

        * IATO Inputs/Suggestions for Promoting Sea Plane travel connecting
water bodies / Golf tourism / Buddhist tourism

On date IATO wrote to Mr. Jitendra Jadhav, Asst. Director (NT), Ministry
of Tourism, giving our Inputs/Suggestions for Promoting Sea Plane travel
connecting water bodies / Golf tourism / Buddhist tourism. A
consolidated note was submitted state wise with inputs from our
respective State Chapter Chairmen.

Wednesday, 16th September

        * Request for recommendation letter for Ministry of Finance for SEIS

On date IATO wrote to Mr. Yogendra Tripathi, Secretary (Tourism) and
requested his good office to request the Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri
Prahlad Singh Patel ji to write to Hon'ble Finance Minister on SEIS.

        * To increase SEIS Scrips percentage from 7% to 10% for the tour
operators
        * To announce the SEIS Scrips for 2019-20 at the earliest

Letters a) dated 3rd August to Hon’ble Minister of Commerce, b) dated
4th August to Special Secretary (Commerce), and c) dated 28th August to
Special Secretary (Commerce), Govt. of India were enclosed

Copy of the letter was marked to Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, Director General
(Tourism),

Thursday, 17th September

        * Proposal - Observing 27th September 2020 as "Solidarity Tourism Day"

On date IATO wrote to Mr. Nakul Anand, Chairman, FAITH on the above
subject with the proposed action plan under the leadership of FAITH.

Friday, 18th September

        * Request to the Hon’ble Finance Minister: SEIS benefits to Tour
Operators - helps to grow Foreign Tourists arrivals, Earn Valuable
Foreign Exchange for Economic Growth and Generate Employment for the
Country

On date IATO requested the Hon’ble Finance Minister to

    i)        To increase SEIS Scrips percentage from 7% to 10% for the
tour operators.

  ii)          To announce the SEIS Scrips for 2019-20 at the earliest

As this assistance is the only hope and shall help tour operators for
survival and revival and remain Atamnirbhar, which is not possible
without support from the government due to present critical status of
inbound tourism to India.

Copy of the letter was sent to a) Minister of State (Finance and
Corporate Affairs) and b) Revenue Secretary & Ex-Officio Secretary to
the GST Council, Ministry of Finance, Government of India

Monday, 14th September

        * National Coverage regarding Abolishing TCS on Outbound Travel

Members were informed on date.

Wednesday, 16th September

        * PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with VFS Global
is organized a ‘Knowledge Session on Restart of Visa Services for
Travellers’ on Wednesday, 16th September 2020 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.

Members were informed on the 14th September

Thursday, 17th September

Nomination for participation at India Tourism Booth at virtual ITB Asia
2020 being held from 21 - 23 October 2020.

All Members (Tour Operators recognised by Ministry of Tourism,
Government of India) were informed on the 17th of September

Friday, 18th September

        * Invitation to register as Visitor for ReCONNECT, A Virtual B2B
Travel Trade Exhibition was organised by Fair Fest Media on 18th
September 2020.

Members were informed on the 10th September

        * IATO Interactive meeting was held on Friday, the 18th September 2020
at 4 pm

Members were informed on the 11th of October

        * Extension of tenure of IATO Regional /State Chapter Chairmen till
the new EC takes over after the elections.

All IATO Regional /State Chapter Chairmen were informed on the 18th
September.

Saturday, 19th September

        * Dekho Apna Desh Webinar series: Episode 54: Promoting Destinations
with Cuisines (19th September 2020)(1100-1200 hrs.)

Members were informed on the 17th of September

Sunday 20th September

A Zoom Meeting was held at 4.00 pm on 20th September 2020 to deliberate
on the action plan for the 27th of Sept – World Tourism Day.
