To All Members,
Subject: National Coverage regarding Abolishing TCS on Outbound Travel
Dear Members,
As you know, TCS is going to be implemented on Outbound Travel from 01 October 2020 which IATO and other associations strongly opposed.
FAITH with the support from all its member association is still trying to get this abolished and had made request to the Government that if this is implemented it will have an unprecedented negative impact on Indian tourism. The tourism product sold from India will become almost 5% - 10% more expensive at the time of booking as against when booked through travel companies based outside of India since TCS on foreign tourists cannot be adjusted as they do not have Indian Pan Card.
Earlier TCS was proposed to be levied from 1st April 2020 but deferred for 6 months and now it is going to be applicable from 1st October 2020.
Coverage the request made by FAITH to the Government to abolish TCS in various national daily newspapers can be seen on the following links:-
