Sub: Postponement of 36th IATO Annual Convention in Ahmedabad

Dear Friends,

As you know,  the 36th IATO Annual Convention was scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad in September 2020 with the support from Gujarat Tourism being the host state.

Our members were so much enthusiastic to visit Gujarat after a gap of 10 years  and attend the IATO convention in Ahmedabad and see the developed tourism infrastructure.

Unfortunately, present pandemic situation does not seem to be very conducive of  having a very high magnitude IATO convention in Ahmedabad in September 2020 due to rapidly growing cases of Covid-19, travel restrictions by various state governments, restrictions imposed on gatherings, guidelines of MoHFW and MHA etc.

Therefore, we have no other option but  to postpone the IATO convention to September 2021 with the hope that by that time tourism will be back on track and we shall have full fledge gathering of our members from all over the country,

We therefore, requested the Managing Director, Gujarat Tourism to postpone the convention to September 2021.

Gujarat Tourism has very kindly acceded to our request and has agreed to hold the convention in September 2021. Dates for the convention will be finalised in due course and will be decided mutually by IATO and Gujarat Tourism.
