Sub: Nomination of Tour Operators for participation at the JATA Online Travel Mart, scheduled on 6th & 7th of August, 2020.

Dear Members,

Placed below please find email received from India Tourism Tokyo regarding JATA Online Travel Mart from 6^th and 7^th August 2020.

IATO has been asked to nominate 10 Tour Operators  and nomination should be strictly of those Tour Operators, who are already working with the Japan market & have experience & knowledge about the product demands & also could meet the needs and expectations of the Japanese market.  This is the criteria mentioned by JATA.  Both Japanese & English will be medium of communication, however, in case a buyer speaks only Japanese, the seller will need to arrange an interpreter from their side, so that the meeting can be conducted successfully. 

After the nominations are sent by IATO, India Tourism Tokyo will scrutinize the profile of sellers and will confirm the participation.

Members who are interested to attend JATA Online Travel Mart and a) Are recognised by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India  b) meet the above criteria may send their interest on email id operations@iato.in and iato.circulars@gmail.com by 16^th July 2020 by  5 pm as per the following format:-

Please note the following:-

• Members who are recognised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government, already working with the Japan market and meet the above criteria given by JATA and India Tourism Tokyo will only be considered.
• If more than 10 names are received, it will be decided by draw of lot.
• Names received after 5 pm on  16^th July 2020 will not be considered.

Greetings from India Tourism Tokyo!

Hope along with you all the Association members are in good health during this pandemic & slowly gearing up for opening of India to the International Community!

I would like to inform you about the forthcoming JATA Online Travel Mart and participation of Indiatourism Tokyo office in the said event. To give a boost to the Outbound Travel from Japan, Japan Association of Travel Agent( JATA) will be orgaising for the first time ever-"Online Travel Mart", which is scheduled  on 6^th & 7^th of August, 2020( B2B only).  The organizer have given the offer of 1Webinar to the National Tourism Offices and B2B registration for the sellers, as a package of participation at this event. Since, this can be  a good opportunity to revive the contacts by Indian Stake holders with Japanese Travel Trade, this office would like to receive the support of IATO, by receiving  nomination of a few prominent Tour Operators from India and make this B2B event a success.

As per the information provided by JATA, during the 2 days of event,  each sellers can get the benefit  of registering for 12 meetings  and take the benefit of  total 24 meetings in 2 days.

Since the time is very limited, this office would like to receive the nomination of the Tour Operators through IATO Office as early as possible. Please check the criteria for giving the nomination:

1)        Total number of participation:10(Tour Operators)

2)        Last date of receiving nomination/list of participants is 17^th of July, 2020. ( Format of providing details is given below).

3)        Nomination should be given strictly, only those Tour Operators, who are already working with the Japan market & have experience & knowledge about the product demands & also could meet the needs and expectations of the Japanese market.  This is the criteria mentioned by JATA. 

4)        Both Japanese & English will be medium of communication, however, in case a buyer speaks only Japanese, the seller will need to arrange an interpreter from their side, so that the meeting can be conducted successfully. 

5)        Nomination will be strictly received through IATO only.

Hence, in view of the above, to meet the rules & expectations of the Organisers of the Travel Mart, this office will be compelled to scrutinize the profile of sellers after nominations from IATO has been received.
