SUB: MOT Renewal of Travel Trade
Dear All
We have received communication from Mr. Anil Oraw, RD North, MOT, GOI that his office, as well as MoT, is receiving applications from various travel trade stakeholders for renewal/fresh approval of MoT. His office is cross-checking/scrutinizing the self-certified required documents submitted by the agency online for approval of MOT RECOGNITION.
Due to the unprecedented situation on account of Corona and as informed by IATO in Feb, 2020 that there should not be any physical inspection due to the social distancing under pandemic and the following is submitted for consideration of renewal/fresh applicant.
1. All required documents as per the MoT's guidelines need to be submitted by the agency which should be self-certified by the authorised persons.
2. All documents have to be submitted online.
3. After scrutiny by India Tourism Regional office in the prescribed format and once all the criteria is fulfilled , the same will be shared with travel trade association i.e. IATO, ADTOI, ATOAI, TAAI and others.
4. The office of RD North has already discussed the matter with IATO and IATO has agreed to accept the report (with digital signature) & return to India Tourism Delhi.
5. The provisional certificate will be issued with a clause to have the physical verification once the situation is conducive for city movement and travel.

Hope this mail will find you and your team in good health.
This is to bring to your kind attention that this office, as well as MoT, is receiving
applications from various travel trade stakeholders for renewal/fresh approval of MoT. This office is cross-checking/scrutinizing the self-certified required documents submitted by the agency online.

4. This office has already discussed the matter with IATO and IATO agreed to accept the report (with digital signature) & return to India Tourism Delhi.
5. The provisional certificate will be issued with a clause to have the physical verification once the situation is condusive for travel.
6. A report of an Agency " Trinetra Tours & Travel " is attached for your kind reference.
In view of the above, it is submitted that the above may be accepted by the trade association to nominate members for the signing of the inspection report (online) and submit back to India Tourism Delhi. A formal approval of MoT is sought and awaited.
