The coronavirus pandemic would have a debilitating impact on India's tourism sector with the industry estimating an overall loss of Rs 5 lakh crore and job cuts for 4-5 crore people.. The travel and tourism industry is facing an extraordinary crisis!
The COVID-19 pandemic presents a severe threat to the Indian economy and, in particular, the Indian travel and tourism industry. According to research Of the total losses, the organised sector in the industry -- branded hotels, tour operators, travel agencies which are the mainstay of the sector - may be hit the hardest with an estimated loss of around Rs 1.58 lakh crore, according to Confederation of Indian Industry estimates.
The travel and tourism industry is facing an extraordinary crisis and the entire industry needs to work together to preserve and protect a sector that is a vital contributor to the economic livelihood of millions of people in India. During times such as these, it is essential to have reliable analysis and insights to the most-up-to date data and information in order to enact a measured and balanced recovery strategy.
Join us for a special webinar titled, “Tourism Insights and Strategies to the COVID-19 Crisis”, on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 7pm for a comprehensive 360-degree view of the impact of COVID-19 on the industry and gain some insights into strategies and solutions towards recovery.
