Re: Encourage services exporters to take SEPC membership to avail SEIS incentives and access foreign markets.

Dear Sir,

Greeting from Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC)!!!

Please refer SEPC letter dated 10th May, 2019 regarding membership of SEPC and SEIS benefits to specified services exporters.

2.  It gives me great pleasure to introduce SEPC, an Export Promotion Council set up by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. It is an apex trade body which facilitates service exporters of India. As an advisory body, it actively contributes to the formulation of policies of Government of India and acts as an interface between the Services Industry and the Government.

3.   SEPC set up in 2006, it now has a strong membership base of more than 5000 members from all service sectors. List of service sectors is attached at Annexure-A.

To accomplish the target of a 5 trillion-dollar economy, SEPC intends to work in close coordination with Indian Association of Tour Operators in its endeavour to stimulate growth of exports from India. In view of this, you are requested for the following:

  •              Indian Association of Tour Operators may give SEPC website link to their organization/association website.
  •      Indian Association of Tour Operators in India (FFFAI) may provide membership directory to SEPC to create awareness in professionals about SEPC and benefits available in the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP).
  •           Indian Association of Tour Operators may inform its members about the SEPC and export promotion incentives given by the Government of India.

  • Northern zone received maximum scrips issued 3597 with the value of Rs. 1298.48 crores.
  •     The SEIS scheme is meant to offset infrastructural inefficiencies and associated costs involved to support an increase in Services export.
  • Scrips issued are transferable and can be used for payment of basic and additional customs duties.

b)   Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme

c)   Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme

5.  SEPC organizes a large number of promotional activities such as buyer-seller meets (BSM) – both in India and abroad, overseas trade fairs/exhibitions, and India pavilion/information booths in selected overseas exhibitions to demonstrate the capabilities of Indian Services Industry.

The Council encourages and monitors the observance of international standards and specifications by exporters and keeps abreast of the trends and opportunities in international markets for services and assist members in taking advantage of such opportunities in order to expand and diversify exports.
