Sub: Purchase of Republic Day Parade/ Beating the retreat tickets by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India recognized tour operator for foreign tourists.

Dear Friends,

We have received number of telephone calls from our members regarding purchase of Republic Day Parade/Beating the Retreat tickets for the foreign tourists. 

The matter has been taken up with the Hon’ble Minister of Defense and with the senior officials in the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Tourism requesting for the following:-

  1. A separate counter for sale of tickets for the foreign tourists be set up either at Indiatourism 88 Janpath, New Delhi or at a centrally located place in New Delhi.
  2. Tour operators who are recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India be allowed to purchase the tickets for their foreign tourists in advance on production of a letter stating that these tourists are on visit to India and all arrangements are being handled by them. A copy of the passport of all such foreign tourists will be attached with the letter of tour operator for the security purpose.

We shall update once any favourable decision is taken by the Government in the matter.
