Sub: Invitation for North East Festival and North East India Tourism Road Show, 8 - 10 November 2019 at IGNCA, Janpath, New Delhi

The next edition of North East Festival is being organized from 8th -10th November, 2019 at IGNCA, Janpath, New Delhi. The festival will bring best of North East India in terms of its music, dance forms, fashion, cuisines, dramas, crafts, sports etc.

All our members are cordially for the Festival at 7.30 PM on 8th November, 2019 at IGNCA, Janpath, New Delhi.  Mr. Kiren Rijiju. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India will formally inaugurate the festival.

On 9th November, 2019 at 2 PM, North East Tourism Road Show and B2B Meet will be organized. Heads of tourism departments of various North East State Governments, Ministry of Tourism,  tour operators of North East will be attending the road show along with prominent tour operators of the country.

Hon'ble Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of NER, Union Home Secretary and many other senior Secretary level personalities, North East Governments, large public will be attending the Festival. With support from MHA, Ministry of Tourism Govt. of India, State Governments of North East, Festival is being organized by North East India's biggest social organization Trend MMS Trust.

North East Festival aims at creating awareness about the North East in Delhi and to promote tourism and in the region. Last six years, North East Festival organized in IGNCA, New Delhi has attracted lakhs of people, got extensive coverage in national media and helped extensively in creating positive perception about the region and to bring tourists to North East India. It has become the largest NER platform to showcase its talents. It is now considered biggest festival of Delhi in terms of footfalls.

Festival will have Delhi's biggest food show with 40 stalls, Spectacular fashion show with 20 designers, show stoppers, Rock battle between Delhi's colleges, colorful dance forms of NER, Raax Leela of Arunachal, Wangla of Meghalaya, mask of Arunachal, Assam etc. drama and one of Delhi's biggest musical festival with mostly NER talents and few national and international singers.  This being UN's year of ethnic languages. North East Festival this will focus on tribal languages of the region and the venue will developed with the theme. Live art, photography, workshop the festival will have it all.
