Sub: Advisory on Single Use Plastic

This is further to our email sent on 3rd October 2019 regarding Plastic Waster Management.

1.   As you all are aware, a nationwide campaign has been launched on 11th September 2019 for creating awareness regarding phasing out of Single Use Plastic (SUP) by promoting sustainable alternatives and proper disposal of plastic waste.

2.   As part of implementation of these initiatives in letter & spirit, we have been asked by the Ministry to advise all our members to consider replacing of Single Use Plastics in their offices such as PET bottles, cups, folders, artificial flowers etc., and any other plastic items by suitable alternatives.

3.   In this regard, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has issued Advisory on Single Use Plastic. A copy of the same is enclosed for its effective implementation.

All our members are requested to take active part in the above campaign to support our government in this initiative.
