Respected Shri Lohani,
Sub: Introduction of Air India Flights
Greetings from IATO !
It was a pleasure meeting you in your office yesterday along with Mr. Sunit Kothari, Director Kothari Group and Mr. Jaswant Singh of PR Events and Holidays, Aurangabad.
Sir, as discussed, due to closure of Jet Airways, the tourism industry is suffering a lot and we seek the help of our national carrier to overcome this situation and problems.
During our meeting, the following flights were discussed.
1. Flight on sector Mumbai – Aurangabad – Udaipur and Udaipur- Aurangabad –Mumbai:- This will help us restore the tourist connection on sector Udaipur – Aurangabad – Udaipur and on sector Mumbai – Aurangabad – Mumbai for both Foreign as well as Domestic tourists and also the corporate clients. As discussed, would appreciate if this flight is introduced definitely in the winter schedule if not earlier.
2. Flight on sector Delhi – Varanasi – Agra – Khajuraho – Varanasi – Delhi – With Jet Airways cancelling all its flights to and from Khajuraho, we seek Air India help to restart this flight on daily basis, at least by 1st August 2019. You will not believe that due to withdrawal of flight by Jet Airways and Air India, all hotels are practically empty. Transports are standing idle and no job for the tour operators, guides, drivers, shopkeepers and even the hawkers. Your re-starting these flights will fulfill the dream of our Hon’ble Prime Minister for creating employment.
3. Flight on sector Aurangabad – Bhopal – Aurangabad:- It was also discussed, that if possible and viable flights on sector Aurangabad – Bhopal - Aurangabad to be introduced to promote the Buddhist Sector, which is the priority of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
An early decision from your side shall help us to fillup the new sector which will help both Air India and the Tourism Industry.
Looking forward to receive your favourable response.
Thanking you in anticipation
With best regards,
Rajiv Mehra
