Sub: Reduction in e-Tourist Visa Fees and Liberalization of e-Tourist Visa

Dear Friends,

1.      The initiative taken by IATO to reduce the increased Evisa fee since June 2018:- As you are aware IATO has been vigorously writing to the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs and even to PMO for last one year to reduce the Visa Fee, when it was increased last year.

2.       With our regular follow up and with the support from the Ministry of Tourism Government of India, e-Tourist Visa Fee has been reduced by the Ministry of Home affairs.  The revised E-Tourist Visa Fee chart is available on the following link:-

3.       Further e-Visa has also been liberalized by MHA and e-Tourist Visa of 5 year duration has been introduced in addition to one year e-Tourist Visa. Fees for e-Tourist Visa for 5 years duration has been set at US$ 80.

Hope this will help us to attract more tourists to India and our members will be able to generate more business. Also we will be able to compete with our neighboring countries due to revised e-Tourist Visa Policy.

Please give this a wide publicity and inform your foreign counterparts accordingly.

Also visit the official website and advise your foreign operators also to use the official Government website as per the above link and advise them to be careful of using fraud websites and pay more than the actual fee.
