Dear Mr. Rajesh Mudgill  

This is about Supreme Court orders to close down all resorts in Nilgiri that have been illegally built in the buffer zone of the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve path known as the Elephant corridor.  

In the last 10 days we had been busy coordinating for Kerala flood relief and recovery and we were tied up collating information up and down and sharing it with you. We will be sending a detailed mail tomorrow about the exact status of Kerala and its flood affected areas, road condition, sightseeing places etc.,  

In the meanwhile, we would like to update you about the Nilgiri resort issue which has been going on for the last 10 years. The main problem is that most of the resorts got the approval to build only houses but illegally they have built commercial establishments. Now as per the Supreme court order all resorts as listed down have been sealed and it will eventually be closed down.  

Resorts located in and around Masinagudi, Mudhumalai and other places in surrounding areas are the ones that have been sealed.

Some of the resorts in the list were closed 10 days ago. 12 resorts that were given time frame to prove their claim and were under review to verify documents were also closed yesterday as the documents produced were not satisfactory, except Alok Gupta property which has been kept pending.

If you have got bookings in any of these resorts, please take precautionary steps accordingly.
