We have already informed you vide our circular dated 8th November 2017 the revised guide fee valid till 30th September 2019. On this, agreement has already been signed between Mr. Pronab Sarkar, President IATO and Mr. Narender Singh Rathore, President TGFI. A copy of the circular and the revised guide fee agreement signed between IATO is resent for your ready reference. This has been informed to the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India and has been put on IATO Website www.iato.in.

 

Now Mr. Sanjay Sharma is sending circulars to his members along with higher guide fee structure, which is not signed by IATO and he is trying to create confusion.

 

Members are advised to ignore such emails/circulars being sent by anyone, who is not authorized and members should follow only the IATO circular dated 8th November 2017 along with the agreement signed between IATO and TGFI and given on the IATO Website.

 

If any of the guides who does not agree to the guide fee signed between IATO and TGFI, may be brought to the notice of IATO so that we can inform the Ministry accordingly.

Sub: Revision in Guide Fee w.e.f. 1st October 2017 to 30th September 2019

A meeting between IATO and TGFI was held yesterday at the IATO office for revision in Guide Fee, wherein both the faction of TGFI, Mr. Narender Singh Rathore and Mr. Sanjay Sharma were present.

There was demand of exorbitant increase @ 25% in the guide fee, which IATO did not agree and therefore, Mr. Sanjay Sharma left the meeting in between, after lot of deliberations and trying to convince IATO Committee.

After deliberations between TGFI members and IATO Guide Committee, we reached to a conclusion for a reasonable hike i.e. 15% hike in guide wages and 5 to 10% hike in some allowances and some allowances were left as it is. An agreement was signed between Pronab Sarkar, President IATO and Mr. Narender Singh Rathore, President, TGFI. Attached please find agreement on revised guide fee w.e.f. from 1st October 2017 and this is valid till 30th September 2019.

Kindly note that, though the increase is from 1st October 2017, we were assured by TGFI that the guides who have already submitted their bills for the period that has lapsed, guides will not ask for the additional amount.
