Hon’ble Minister Sir,
Sub: Swiss couple attacked in Fatehpur Sikri
Greetings from IATO !
We are really shocked to know from the news appeared in the Times of India and other electronic and print media about an incident that has taken place at Fatehpur Sikri, where a Swiss couple has been brutally attacked by some unidentified group of youngsters. Unfortunately this incident happened when India is celebrating Paryatan Parv.
Such incidents create a very negative image of our country as a tourist destination and all the efforts being made by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India and the stakeholders go in vein. While strict legal action should be taken against such culprits, may we request that a Press Release and a message from your good-self should go to the international markets condemning this incident and also assuring that India is a safe country and government will not tolerate such incidents and will ensure full safety and security of the tourists. Also the Press Release and message to be uploaded on home page of Incredible India website and social media etc.
Also both electronic and print media should be restrained from repeating such news again and again, which give negative publicity and tarnishing the image of our country and press should be more responsible in creating a good image of our country.
Looking forward to your favourable response in the matter.
Thanking you and with best regards,
Sincerely,
Pronab Sarkar
President
