Dear Colleagues,

 

 

We are happy to inform you that Air India will allow (from today 12th August, 2015 for upto Six months i.e 11th February, 2016) economy class passengers on its domestic flights to check-in baggage upto 25kg – 10 kg more than 15 kg allowed by other Indian carriers on domestic flights.

 

We had been pleading to Air India and all other domestic carrier to increase the check in baggage allowances to 20 kg or more as overseas travelers find it difficult to leave excess baggage beyond 15kg as they are entitled to travel with two pieces of baggage or at least 23kg and to reduce the limit to 15kg is real problem. In view of the above gesture we all should promote Air India as much as possible. 

 

We really appreciate this kind gesture of Air India. Hope other domestic carriers also follow the steps and boost the course of Indian tourism.
