Sub: IATO’s requests for introduction of Vande Bharat Express between Khajuraho and Varanasi.

This is to inform our members that IATO had made a request to Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways regarding introduction of Vande Bharat Express between Khajuraho and Varanasi and Vice-a-Versa with a copy to  Union Tourism Minister, Chief Minister of UP, Chief Minister of MP and Member of Parliament - Khajuraho and Chairman Railway Board.

In our letter to the Hon’ble Railway Minister, we requested him to introduce a Vande Bharat Train between Khajuraho and Varanasi via Chitrakoot and Prayagraj and vice-a-versa for the convenience of both domestic and foreign tourists and local public. This will give an experience of Incredible Rail Journey Experience to the foreign traveller to travel by Vande Bharat Express and feel the Real Incredible India. This will also help in promoting tourism in the state of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

It was also mentioned that foreign tourists inflow to Khajuraho will increase tremendously and we will be able to bring back the glory of Khajuraho, which was in 70s & 80s, which will  increase tourism infrastructure in Khajuraho and create new jobs for locals in Khajuraho.

We also met Shri V. D. Sharma , who is the Hon'ble Member of Parliament from Khajuraho to support us in the matter.

You will be pleased to know that the Government of Madhya Pradesh has supported us and has recommended to the Railway Board to consider our request favourably and introduce Vande Bharat Train between Khajuraho and Varanasi via Chitrakoot and Prayagraj and vice-a-versa.

We hope, with support from Madhya Pradesh Government, our request will be considered favourably.
