Sub: No Cancellation Fee to be charged from tourists wanting to return from Kashmir

A meeting was called by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India today on the current situation in Kashmir. During the meeting it was discussed that, many of the tourists who are in Kashmir, wish to return back to their native place,

Mr. Suman Billa, IAS – Director General & Additional Secretary has informed that during the meeting Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all the tourism industry stakeholder to facilitate the tourists, help them to travel safe to their home town and do not charge any cancellation fee from the tourists who wish to return from Kashmir.

As the airlines are not charging the cancellation fee, our members are requested that they also should not charge the cancellation fee and they should ask the hotels also not to charge the cancellation fee.

We on our part through FAITH writing to FHRAI and HAI that they should advise their members not to charge any cancellation charges in this hour of crisis.
