Sub: Invitation to attend the Post-Budget Webinar on Tourism on 5th March 2025 by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India between 12 PM - 5 PM.

The Union Budget 2025-26 has announced various reforms aimed at introducing a destination-centric and tourist-centric approach for the overall development of tourism in the country. Destination-centric initiatives comprise of infrastructure status for hotel investments, increasing supply of alternate accommodation through support for homestays, skilling for local communities, improving connectivity & cleanliness, etc. Tourist-centric initiatives comprise of reforms related to visa norms, tourist amenities at destinations, along with interventions to enhance overall tourist experience at destinations. These announcements pave the way for introducing a comprehensive model for developing India’s tourism destinations in a holistic manner going forward, in partnership with Ministries of Government of India, States and the private sector.

To ensure effective implementation of these announcements, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is organizing a Post-Budget Webinar Session on Tourism on 5th March 2025 in virtual mode, to seek inputs and suggestions on implementation of the Budget Announcements from a group of distinguished sectoral experts. The Webinar will also see a special address by the Hon'ble Prime Minister at 1330 Hours giving his guidance to all of us. The minute to minute program is attached for your reference.
