Sub: Additional Facilities provided by BOI, MHA at the IGI International Airport New Delhi

1.       Additional Facilities provided by BOI, MHA at the IGI International Airport New Delhi:-  Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has initiated additional facilities for foreign travellers arriving at IGI International Airport New Delhi.  Foreign travellers visiting India for the first time, after they disembark from the aircraft and come into the terminal building, they have to walk toward the Immigration Counters. Before the Immigration Counters, there are many sign boards before the lift/accelerator stating to go towards the  KIOSKS, for the first time foreign travellers to do their biometric. If Biometric is done at this place, it will take very less time to clear their immigration.

2.       Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Program:- Bureau of Immigration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has initiated “Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Travellers' Programme (FTI-TTP)” to speed up the Immigration clearance process for eligible persons from the following categories:-

•           Indian Nationals

•           Foreign Nationals holding OCI Card

Once you have registered, it will ask you for suitable date and time to go to the FRRO office for biometric. You can choose the time and visit the FRRO office in RK Puram, New Delhi and give your biometric. In the next 24 to 48 hours, you will get a confirmation of your registration. Once this is done, there are special counters at both arrival and at departures at Delhi International Airport and you will be able to complete the immigration in less than 2 minutes. Also there are facilities available for giving bio-metric at the airport after taking appointment but it is advisable to do the same at the FRRO office in RK Puram, New Delhi. For those who have ECR endorsed on their passport, they are not eligible for this facility.

Members are advised to inform their foreign counterparts regarding point 1 and make use of point 2 for themselves.

As advised the above facility is presently available at Delhi IGI International Airport.
