Sub: Participation in the 30th OTDYKH International Russian Travel Market (Otdykh Leisure 2024) in Moscow

OTDYKH Leisure 2024 (30^th OTDYKH International Russian Travel Market https://www.tourismexpo.ru/en/) is scheduled to be held on 17-19 September 2024 in Moscow. OTDYKH Leisure is Russia’s leading travel and tourism exhibition with an aim to bring all relevant sectors of the tourism value chain together.

2.        The 2024 edition of OTDYKH Leisure is expected to have a participation from 50 Russian regions and 25 countries. In 2023, OTDYKH Leisure was visited by 9,500 representatives of the travel business and sophisticated tourists in search of original routes and exotic travel destinations. Incredible India also participated in OTDYKH Leisure 2023 with participation from State tourism departments and tourism related companies.

3.        It may be noted that bookings for the winter vacation season in Russia starts in the month of September for outbound tourists. Hence, participation in this event will help to attract large number of inbound tourists to India from Russia, including for medical tourism. The opportunity is more pronounced in the context of limited options of Western destinations for the Russians travelers, while there is regular flight connectivity between India and Russia. 

4.        Embassy of India, Moscow will organize India-Russia B2B Meetings between Indian and Russian tour operators (at a separate venue) during the time period of OTDYKH 2024.
