VEEZIT – The International Tourism & Leisure Exhibition for the Indian Ocean is scheduled to be held on 6,7 & 8 September 2024 at Saint Denis in Reunion Island. This event is to promote tourism and leisure in the Indian Ocean Region of which both India and Reunion are parts along with Mauritius, Seyshelles, Madagascar etc.  The exhibition is expected to have good participation from the countries in the region, Africa and European Union.

Reunion is an Overseas Department and Region (Equivalent to state in India) with a population of about 9,00,000 out of which about 300,000 are from Indian origin. Being a part of France, people from Reunion have better financial standing than other countries in this reason. However, number of tourists from here to India is negligibly compared to other Asian destinations like Thailand , Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Dubai etc. Therefore, a huge potential for tourism from Reunion to India is there to be exploited through an aggressive marketing of Indian destinations.
