Sub: 38th IATO Annual Convention to take place in Chhattrapati Sambhajinagar, (Aurangabad), Maharashtra, from 29th September to 2nd October 2023

Dear Friends,

You will be pleased to know that the venue and the dates for the 38th IATO Annual Convention have been finalised and it would be held in Chhattrapati Sambhajinagar, Aurangabad from 29th September to 2nd October 2023. Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Rama International, Aurangabad is the venue hotel and all activities i.e. registration for the convention, inaugural session, business sessions and evening programmes will be held at Rama International.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde has given his verbal consent to grace the occasion with his presence and inaugurate the convention.

We expect about 900-1000 delegates from all over the country to participate which will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals, travel trade media. Added attraction for this year convention would be Post Convention Tours to, Ellora,  Shirdi and Wine Tours to Nashik.

Like last year, we expect participation of about 18 to 20 State Tourism Departments. Currently tourism is in mid of revival and during deliberation our focus would be as to how we can achieve target of Pre –Covid level. The theme of the convention and subjects for the business sessions would be suitably decided by the committee.Concurrently with our convention, there will be Travel Mart, which will be an opportunity for the exhibitors to showcase exciting and diverse range of destinations, conference and Incentive venues especially by the state governments.

Kindly note the following:-

•Registration for the convention will hopefully begin by first week of August and we shall send the registration link to all our members. 

• Individually members can book their flights to and from Aurangabad or Shirdi from where IATO will provide transfers subject to receiving specific flight details. Inauguration of the convention will be on 29th September at 4.30 pm and convention will conclude with dinner on 1st October 2023, members are advised to book their flights accordingly.

•For the members who wish to join for the Post tours, these will start from 02 October – Overnight to Shirdi and two night Nashik etc. and those details are being finalized.

We request maximum and larger participation from the members and request all our members to block these dates in your diary for the IATO Convention.
