Sub: Special Drive against Fake GST Registration, GST Evasion.

A Special All-India Drive has been launched by the Centre and State Tax administrations to detect fake GSTINs and to conduct verification to weed out these fake billers from the GST ecosystem and to safeguard Government revenue. 

This drive would be between 16th May -15th July 2023. GST Department officials are visiting offices or shops to inspect the documents without any prior intimation randomly.   

In view of the same, all our members are advised to ensure the following:-

 

1.      Your company Sign Board is placed outside your office with the following information:- 

  1. Company Name
  2. GST Number
  3. CIN NO (In case of Pvt Ltd Co.)
  4. Address
  5. Telephone number, Mobile number 

2.      Keep the following documents ready in a file for inspection and should be ready if asked for by the GST officials: 

  1. Sales Invoices
  2. Purchase Invoices
  3. GST return ( monthly or quarterly, as per you have opted)
  4. GST Registration Certificate must be laminated/framed and hanged somewhere in the office 

In case, required documents are not in place or sign board with GST outside of the office is not in place, there are penalties for the defaulters. 

Members are advised to adhere to the above to avoid any problem.
