As you are aware that Ministry of Tourism organizes Dekho Apna Desh Webinar sessions under various schemes and topics every Saturday. On coming Saturday 6th August 2022 at 1100 hrs, we are going to present DAD webinars on 75 destinations with Tourist Guides, Episode No. 32 on topic, " TEEJ - THE CELEBRATION OF UNIFICATION". We in India celebrate each and every moment of our life, with different methods and names called festivals. One of those festivals is TEEJ, which is celebrated across India with different names, though the names are slightly different but the mythology and belief behind it are almost the same. Teej festival is Dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, there are two types of Teej that are celebrated during the monsoon season namely Hariyali Teej and Hartalika Teej.
Although both festivals derive inspiration from tales of Shiva and Parvati. As per Hindu mythology, Hariyali Teej is also the day when Lord Shiva accepted Goddess Parvati as his wife. Let us try to unfold the secret of TEEJ : A CELEBRATION OF UNIFICATION with the help of stories, legend, mythology and beliefs.

A Tour Guide with an experience of over 8 years in exploring India through its length and breadth. Before becoming RLG he has worked in different Media industries in Delhi. In programming Department his career had started from All India Radio Station and there on went to different Private Radio Stations of Delhi (wiz. Red FM, Radio One & Big FM) to Media Consultant Television Industry (TV Today Network), currently he is based in Varanasi (India) providing his services to Tourism Industry. Also, running a YouTube Channel in the name of "Pilgrimage Varanasi". He has did PG in Mass Communication and Journalism and BA Tourism from College of Vocational Studies Delhi.
