As you are aware that Ministry of Tourism organizes Dekho Apna Desh Webinar sessions under various schemes and topics every Saturday . The coming session is the Episode No. 19 on Kakatiya's of Orugallu "A historical journey to Marco polo loved city". The Kakatiya dynasty was a South Indian dynasty that ruled most of eastern Deccan region comprising present day Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and parts of eastern Karnataka and southern Odisha between 12th and 14th centuries. Their capital was Orugallu, now known as Warangal, first kingdom patronized telugu language and united telugu speaking areas, kakatiryas built beautiful temples lakes and cities. Warangal fort , Thousand pillar temple, Ramappa temple(UNESCO) are the well known monuments of Kakatiyas.
Mr. Srinu.Arvapalli, the speaker of the day has studied M A Archaeology, PG Dip.in Museology and Pursuing PhD from Osmania University and working since 22 years as Regional Level Guide, specialized in Deccan history by organizing cultural and walking tours in his way. He was awarded best tour guide in 2012 -13 by Ministry of Tourism (Govt. of Andhra Pradesh) and best tour guide award in 2014 by Ministry of Tourism ( Govt. of Telangana ). He is guest member of Textile museum New York. This episode will be live on 5th March 2022 at 1100 hrs. and will be followed by a quiz.
