Sub: Regarding Issuance of  Commercial Airport Entry Pass (AEP) to tour operators and hotels

Dear Friends,

This is with reference to the Airport Entry Passes issued to the Ministry of Tourism Government of India recognised tour operators and hotels. Ministry of Civil Aviation in July 2020 changed the criteria for issuance of airport entry passes, following which IATO had made a request to the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India that the base year for tum over requirement for the purpose of issuance of commercial (AEPs) to the Tour Operators may be considered as the pre- covid period i.e. Financial year 2019-20, which has been agreed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. This request was made as there is hardly any income for the tour operators in 2020-21 and 2021-22.

A copy of letter received from Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India dated 10th February 2022 is attached for your reference.

Airport passes will be issued by Bureau of Civil Aviation, Security, Govt. of India against payment as was being done before and members may apply accordingly.
