Sub: Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid Affected Tourism Service Sector (LGSCATSS) reg.

Dear Friends, 

As you are aware, Hon’ble Finance Minister on 28th June made certain announcements including  loan of Rs. 10 lakhs to Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India recognised service providers. 

In this regards placed below please find an email received from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the Operational Guidelines for Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid affected. (Guidelines & NCGTC Letter attached )

As mentioned in below email from the Ministry, presently 3 banks i.e. Central Bank of India, Union Bank of India and the Karur Vyasya Bank Ltd. have registered themselves with NCGTC as a Member Lending Institutions(MLIs) under the said scheme to provide loan to the tourism service providers. 

However, a board meeting is scheduled by NCGTC with rest of the SCBs, to request them to participate in the said scheme.

Members who  are recognised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and wish to avail this facility,  may approach Central Bank of India OR  Union Bank of India OR  Karur Vyasya Bank Ltd.

Dear All,

As per the announcement made by M/o Finance on 28.06.2021 to provide relief to the tourism sector, Ministry of Tourism has launched Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid Affected Tourism Service Sector (LGSCATSS), through Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs). The scheme will be monitored by Ministry of Tourism and NCGTC (National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company). 

In this regard, it is to state that the guideline for the LGSCATSS has already been approved by the Ministry and communicated to NCGTC. NCGTC has uploaded the same on their official website and have informed all SCBs to launch and early implementation of the scheme. Also, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance had sent an e-mail to Chiefs of various Scheduled Commercial Banks, drawing their attention to the scheme of LGSCATSS and seeking their support for its success. They were advised to facilitate outreach by way of publicity & awareness campaign to eligible beneficiaries under the Scheme.
 
NCGTC  portal has already been made live for the MLIs to access and obtain guarantees (process of obtaining of guarantees is automatic on submission of requisite data relating to sanction by the MLI on the portal) for loans sanctioned by them to the eligible beneficiaries. 
 
NCGTC has further informed that Central Bank of India, Union Bank of India and the Karur Vyasya Bank Ltd.have registered themselves with NCGTC as a Member Lending Institutions(MLIs) under the said scheme. Also, a board meeting is scheduled by NCGTC with rest of the SCBs, to request them to participate in the said scheme.
