Sub: Details of pending Refunds of Advance paid to RTDC for Palace on Wheels Luxury Train.

Dear Colleagues,

We have been writing to Rajasthan Tourism/RTDC for last one and half year for refund of advance payments which has been made by our members to RTDC for bookings on Palace on Wheels (PoW), which were cancelled due to cancellations of Tourist Visa and international flights due to Covid-19.

In spite of our regular reminders and follow-ups, we understand refund of many of our members is still pending from RTDC.

This issue was also discussed during the Annual General Meeting held yesterday, the 21st October 2021.

As per discussion held during the AGM, IATO is looking into the possibilities of taking legal assistance in the matter for which we need the following information from all those members whose refunds from RTDC with regard to PoW are pending: -

1. Name of the Company and city (Who had made the booking and paid the charges to RTDC)
2. Name of the group/client for whom booking was made
3. Amount paid to RTDC for booking of PoW
4. Date on which payment was made to RTDC

Above information should reach to us definitely by Tuesday, the 26th October 2021 on email id operations@iato.in and iato.circulars@gmail.com

We will first send the information received from the members to the Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism), Govt. of Rajasthan for his help with the exact figures available. In case if there is no positive response from the State Government, we will then look into the possibilities of legal course of action in consultation with our legal advisor.
