Sub: Message from President on World Tourism Day

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Executive Committee and Members of IATO, I would like to congratulate you and wish that in the coming months, we see our business going to open up at least starting with some of the source markets.

Some good news have started coming in with Government announcing Release of SEIS for the tourism industry, though this is disheartening that Government has reduced the percentage of SEIS to 5% and also have put up a cap of  Rs. 5 crores. These we have already taken up with the Director General of Foreign Trade immediately and have issued press release which has been widely covered and have been noticed by the different departments of thegovernment.

We are now looking for the government to announce resumption of e-Tourist Visa and International flight operations for which our Ministry of Tourism is already in discussion with the other concerned Ministries and we hope something will be announced soon.

Let us keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best in the coming months.
