Dear Friends,

As you all know the COVID-19 pandemic is the global health crisis of our time and the greatest challenge we have faced in our life . Since its emergence all over the world, the virus has spread to every continent except Antarctica.

Situation in our country was under control till mid of April 2021 and we were hoping that tourism would start from the coming season. But the picture changed drastically when India began recording a dramatic increase with new cases from April 15 onward, with more than 300,000 cases coming daily. Now hospitals are running out of beds, ventilators, oxygen and even the medicines are not available.

We discussed this matter in the EC and decided to make “IATO Covid -19 Assistance Task Force” to help our members who need help in these hour of crisis. The main objective of this committee is to gather authentic information and provide assistance to the members they need. To do this job, we need support from the members also.

There are many of our members who have their family members working or having contacts with the hospitals, medicine and medical equipment suppliers and oxygen cylinder suppliers.

I am writing this letter to request all those members to send us the contact details of their such family members who could provide us with detailed authentic / verified information and help us in getting support on any of the following:-

  1. Hospital Admissions/Beds
  2. Medicines
  3. Oxygen Cylinders or Oxygen
  4. Lab Tests - Covid -19 Rapid or RTPCR tests on priority

Please forward us such information with the contact name and mobile no. of the person.  We would gather the information and make our data bank and in case who ever ask for this information, they will be advised to contact our taskforce who inturn will give the information.

Above information should reach us by 4 pm on Thursday, the 29th April 2021.

I would also like to mention here that  many of our brothers and sisters who are in the tourism industry from different states and are staying alone in various states, should not feel lonely and they may co ntact any of our Executive committee members or the respective State Chapter Chairman and whatever help we are able to provide,  we would do so gladly.

We pray to the almighty that this difficult time should be over soon and we march to healthy world as soon as possible and revive our business.

Stay Safe Stay Healthy,

Rajiv Mehra
