1995
Blood Donation Camp: On 5th July, at Hotel The Claridges, New Delhi, IATO organised a Blood Donation Camp.
1999
Orissa Cyclone Relief: As an association, IATO has always strived to be socially conscious. On 29th October, the IATO team visited the affected area and adopted Madhav Area in the aftermath of cyclones in Orissa. It constructed 21 schools and started a rehabilitation program in association with the Government of Orissa.
IATO’s contribution to Army Central Welfare Fund: On 6th November, at Hotel Samrat, IATO felicitated Sadhavi Uma Bharati on her taking over as the Union Minister of Tourism. IATO presented a cheque of Rs. 4,15,000/- towards the Army Central Welfare Fund for our soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War.
2001
Gujarat Earthquake Relief: On 26th January, an Earthquake Relief Committee was formed comprising Major Murli Dhar, Deepak Sengupta, Lally Mathews, Soman Pathy, NS Rathor, BK Gupta, and MS Vaghela, who visited the affected area to provide relief material. IATO Relief Committee carried out relief work in Zura Camp and provided 80 tents, utensils, and a big tent for schools. A sum of Rs. 16,34,125/- was spent to meet the expenses.
2004
Tsunami Relief: Handing over of a cheque for Rs. 14.92 Lakh to Renuka Choudhary, Minister of Tourism, Govt. of India, towards IATO’s contribution to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. Later, the cheque was personally handed over to Dr. Manmohan Singh, Hon’ble Prime Minister, by the Office Bearers.
2008
Offsetting Carbon Footprints: On 10th August, a Mega Plantation Project was undertaken on the sidelines of the IATO Convention in Bhubaneshwar.
2010
Environment Initiative: On 5th June, at Hotel Vasant Continental, New Delhi, IATO organized an Interactive Luncheon Meeting. Mr. Niranjan Khatri, General Manager, WelcomEnviron Initiatives, ITC Group, made a very effective and useful presentation about Global Warming.

Uttarakhand Floods: Heartfelt Gratitude to Our Members: In times of crisis, unity and compassion shine the brightest. Back in 2013, when the devastating Uttarakhand floods struck, the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) stood together to extend the maximum possible support. Our association made a substantial donation, and we encouraged all our members to contribute toward relief efforts, helping fellow citizens in their hour of need.
We express our deepest gratitude to all members who responded with generosity and empathy. Your contributions played a vital role in aiding those affected, showcasing the true spirit of solidarity. As an organization, we take pride in the unwavering commitment of our members to support humanitarian causes.

Nepal Earthquake: IATO's Compassionate Outreach to Nepal: The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) demonstrated profound empathy and unwavering compassion in supporting its neighbouring country, Nepal, following the devastating earthquake in 2014. As a leading representative body of the Indian tourism industry, IATO quickly extended its solidarity, understanding the immense challenges faced by the Nepali people and its vital tourism sector.
IATO understood the critical importance of tourism to Nepal’s economy. The association played a key role in engaging with Nepali tourism stakeholders, offering guidance and moral support to help rebuild confidence among international travellers and facilitate the eventual revival of tourism activities. This holistic approach underscored IATO's deep-rooted empathy and its dedication to standing with Nepal during a period of immense crisis.

Odisha Cyclone: IATO Stands with Odisha: In the wake of the devastating cyclone in Odisha, the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) remained committed to restoring tourism and supporting affected citizens. Recognizing tourism’s vital role in economic recovery, we mobilized efforts to rebuild infrastructure, promote travel, and encourage visitors to return.
